Psychotherapy centers on one of the most fundamental human qualities: talking, the interaction with others. It's a way to explore our problems and reflect on our own role in them, so we can address them ourselves. The psychotherapist is the instrument for change: the patient provides the content, the psychotherapist facilitates the process.
I specialize in the treatment of personality disorders, including borderline personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorders. I also treat patients with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma-related issues that disrupt daily life. My focus is explicitly on treating the underlying personality problems. Patients with concurrent addiction issues are also welcome to contact me.
I work with the DSM-V (diagnostic manual of mental disorders) and scientific treatment guidelines. As soon as I am available, I will contact you by phone for a first appointment. During the diagnostic work-up, we develop a detailed problem analysis and I will make a DSM-classification.
You are eligible for treatment if you have a personality disorder, a mood disorder, an anxiety disorder, and/or a trauma-related disorder. You are not eligible for treatment if you have an active primary addiction disorder, a serious eating disorder, or a psychotic disorder.
After five sessions, we first discuss whether I am the right person to help you with your problems. After that and based on the information we collected, we select a personal and tailored trajectory, with regular evaluations.
