Methods

I use the principles of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT, that focuses on the relations between thinking, feeling and behavior) and schema therapy (that focuses on one’s learning history and personality development), two renowned and related forms of evidence-based psychotherapy that were developed for anxiety, stress, depression and personality disorders. I had the privilege to be trained by the founder of CBT and the developers of schema therapy. I researched the effectiveness of CBT and schema therapy, wrote treatment manuals, trained them to professionals and taught these courses to university and clinical post-master students. Both methods offer excellent tools to understand and deal with personal problems, with enduring effects.
